About Us

Lafayette Park Advisors is an enterprise planning and finance transformation advisory firm built around the practical application of AI in financial planning. We work in a particular order, understanding the challenge first and applying the technology second, not the other way around. That sequence is easier to state than to hold to, and much of what separates a planning capability that endures from one that merely goes live can be traced back to whether it was honored.

We advise CFOs and finance leaders on how their organizations plan, forecast, model, and decide. Clients range from regional businesses seeking next-generation planning methods to global enterprises where long-range modeling and capital planning carry board-level consequence. What they share is a readiness to act on what AI now makes possible rather than wait for the market to settle.

Technology can materially improve the range and quality of financial analysis. The technology is the easy part. Process design, data, and organizational readiness are what determine whether the improvement lasts, which is why we work outward from the finance function itself, with architecture and operating requirements preceding platform selection.

• Oracle Strategic Modeling and Long-Range Planning. Recognized depth in three-statement scenario work, capital structure, and the balance-sheet-to-cash-flow integration that is commonly gotten wrong, supported by direct relationships into Oracle product development.

How we think about technology

We hold deep expertise in enterprise-grade planning software, including Oracle, Anaplan, and OneStream, and we are deliberate about not leading with any of them. We also believe simplicity is elegance. An Excel-based solution implemented alongside AI-enabled process redesign is frequently the right answer for an organization at a given scale and maturity, and when it is, it should be arrived at on the merits rather than settled for.

How we think about planning

Budgeting and forecasting are different jobs. In most organizations the annual budget has gradually absorbed the capacity that should be supporting forward-looking analysis, and the forecast has become a version of the budget rather than a view of what is actually ahead. We build the forward-looking capability alongside the budget rather than in place of it, which preserves the governance and accountability the budget exists to provide while giving finance a real ability to test decisions and respond as conditions change.

The foundation

Lafayette Park Advisors was established in Saint Louis in 2026 by Andrew Melenbrink, who brings more than twenty years at the intersection of corporate finance and enterprise technology, with deep Oracle EPM expertise and planning depth across regulated utilities, financial services, hospitality, entertainment, and retail. Clients are served both in person and remotely. Every engagement is built to a consistent standard, so the capability compounds as more work comes onto the foundation.
