Andrew Melenbrink

Founder and Principal

Andrew Melenbrink founded Lafayette Park Advisors in Saint Louis in 2026 after more than 20 years at the intersection of corporate finance and enterprise technology, most of that time at Huron Consulting Group and its predecessor, Blue Stone International. He was most recently a Senior Director at Huron and a leader in its Strategic Delivery organization and its Energy and Utilities industry team.

Over that time he led multiple finance transformation programs and implemented or managed more than 50 financial planning and corporate development solutions, spanning monthly close, budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, and management reporting. He was Director of the Planning and Strategy practice within Huron's Enterprise Performance Management group, where he led sales, operations, delivery, and thought leadership. He joined Blue Stone in 2007, opened its New York office in 2010, and ran the firm's Strategy Management practice from Chicago before Huron acquired the company in 2013.

His industry background spans retail, hospitality, entertainment, and financial services, with particular depth in regulated utilities, where he spent more than a decade implementing finance transformation solutions for electric and gas investor-owned utilities. On the technology side, his focus is Oracle EPM Planning and Strategic Modeling, long-range and three-statement financial modeling, and the application of AI in financial planning, with direct relationships into Oracle product development.

Before consulting, Andrew worked in the commercial division of Commerce Bank, underwriting and managing debt structures and performing due diligence on company financials. That early grounding in integrated financial statement forecasting is still visible in his modeling work.

He has published on the design and integration of strategic planning and operational budgeting processes and writes regularly on enterprise planning and AI in finance.

Andrew holds an MBA in Finance and Economics from Washington University in St. Louis and a BSBA in Finance and Accounting from Saint Louis University, along with an Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies certificate from Stanford University and Oracle certifications in Enterprise Planning and Financial Close and Consolidation. He is an Eagle Scout and lives in Saint Louis with his wife Katie and their four children.
